As everyone knows, the Woodlake FFA Chapter Competition Team has had a lot of recent success. Four students are making history: Kiara Benevides, Isabella Torres, Pia Martinez, and Jasmine Paniagua. They were named the 2017 California FFA Champions in the FFA Food and Technology Competition at UC Davis. The competition tests knowledge in basic food science principles, sensory evaluation, product compliance, food safety and sanitation, and product development. This is very impressive because this is the first time California is doing this event. That means that the Woodlake FFA Chapter Competition Team will go into the books as the first FFA Food Science and Technology Champions. This October, these 4 students will go to Indianapolis to compete for the National FFA Food Science and Technology title. Woodlake High School and the whole town of Woodlake are very proud of these students and wish them the best of luck.
